7.29.10 - Great night of racing, thanks everyone that came out tonight! Congratulations Steve McIntosh on winning the $54.00 50/50 pot and Madison Moro on winning Contest #12. 7.28.10 - After a lot of hard work this weekend in preparation to raise the bleachers they were set in place today by F & G Delivery and Crane Service of Surrey. A big thanks to them for coming out so quick and for giving us such a great deal. So we have plenty of seating available for racing tomorrow. Note there is no gate practice on Monday due to the long weekend. Contest #13 is still open, riders send your emails in for a chance to win.

7.25.10  - Big thanks to everyone that came out to work on the track today, we really appreciate the help! We have a winner for Contest #12. Contest #13 has been posted and is open to all riders. We know, it's WAY too early to be talking about our season's windup but want to make sure all riders are aware you need to have raced 10 regular Thursday night races to qualify for the year-end award . Cut-off to qualify is August 31st. Also, anyone who has raced a minimum of 5 regular Thursday night races by August 31 is invited to attend our year-end award and pizza party on Saturday, October 2nd from 6pm-8pm at the Newton Community Hall (Recreation Center) followed by a pool party at the Newton Wave Pool. Race results are up-to-date so check out the results and add up your races to make sure you qualify.

7.24.10 - As announced at Thursday nights race, we are working on the track Sunday, July 25 starting at 10am, come out and help if you can. We had a great night of racing on Thursday, thanks to everyone that came out to race and all the volunteers that make racing happen. Congratulations to Dory who won the $60.00 50/50 pot.

7.20.10 - There are a couple of bikes for sale under classifieds an Intense Expert and Staats Junior/Expert. Also, Contest #12 has been posted and is open to all riders.

7.15.10 - It was a fun night of racing at the track tonight. Congratulations Tony Taylor on winning the $61.50 50/50 pot and Aidan MacDonald on winning contest #11. Contest #12 will be posted asap. Unfortunately we found our freezer not working when we got to the track tonight but thanks to the generosity of the Hotchkiss family we had a replacement in place before we left the track this evening, so a big thanks to them for donating a freezer to the track and soooo fast!!!

7.9.10 - Great night of racing last night, many came out to race despite the heat! Congratulations Keith Clausen on winning the $60.50 50/50 pot. 7.1.10 - HAPPY CANADA DAY! Thanks everyone that joined us for racing & Canada Day celebrations! We had lots of giveaways, delicious cake and exciting racing with just under 100 riders. 6.28.10 - Canada Day Double Point Racing - Thursday July 1st - Riders decorate your bikes and join Abbotsford BMX for a Canada Day Bike Parade at 10am at Ware St. Parade set up, followed by a hot dog BBQ free to all parade participants! Racing gets underway at Abbotsford at 2:30pm (register 1-2pm), then head over to Action for racing at 7pm (register 5:30-6:15). All full-track riders that race both tracks will receive a custom t-shirt designed by Artrageous.

6.17.10 - We are racing on Canada Day, Thursday, July 1st @ 7pm. It's a $10 double point race. We've teamed up with Abbotsford BMX who are also running their annual Canada Day afternoon race (also Double Points) to award all full-track riders that race both races a custom t-shirt designed by Artrageous. Racing at Abby gets underway at 2:30pm. Abby is hosting the BC Championship Race on June 26 and the BC Cup #5 on June 27 so mark your calenders. 6.6.10 - Busy weekend of racing at Action BMX with 4 back-to-back races starting with our Thursday night race followed by a Friday night double point race and the BC Cup #3 and #4 on Saturday and Sunday. Racing was awesome, thanks to all the riders that came out to race! We had cool giveways thanks to Redline Bikes - some lucky riders won t-shirts; grips and other bike parts. Rose Brown won the Friday night 50/50 pot of $46.50, the Murphy's won Saturday's pot of $148.00 and the Clausen's won Sunday's pot of $111.50. Rose donated $53.50 of her 2-day winnings to the track, so a BIG thanks to Rose! We ran team races at Saturday's race, congrats to 1st Place - Canadian Bike Supply $50; 2nd Place - Devo $30; 3rd Place - Awesome 5 $20. It takes a hard working Executive and dedicated volunteers to run these races and we thank everyone for helping out! Also Andre Volkow for his fantastic announcing this weekend!

6.3.10 - Awesome night of racing at Action BMX. Beautiful weather and lots of riders. 11 Expert was an exciting moto to watch tonight. Congratulations Rose Brown on winning the $83.50 50/50 pot and Violet & Diego Cejalvo on winning contest #8. Contest #9 is still open so riders get your emails in for a chance to win. A BIG thanks to Doug Friesen of Tak Logistics for donating boxes of Freezies to the track. This is the 3rd year in a row that Doug has donated Freezies to the club and we really appreciate it! 6.3.10 - Location change re: Sunday's BC Cup #4. Race will now be held at Action BMX. North Shore BMX track rebuild is going to be awesome with paved corners, unfortunately it will not be ready for Sunday.

5.29.10 - We have a new contest winner so contest #8 is closed. Contest #9 has been posted. 5.27.10 - The rain held off allowing us another great night of racing. 12 Expert class was pretty cool to watch tonight. Congratulations Marcie McMurray on winning the $63.50 50/50 pot and a BIG thanks to her for donating the Starbuck's coffee to the track. 5.22.10 - Great job Abbotsford BMX with the CBA Western Nationals. It was a great weekend of racing. The pro-sections are huge but exciting to watch. Unfortunately one of BC's top riders, Mischa Partridge, was hurt. We all know Mischa is Cycling BC's coach and works with a lot of kids and we wish Mischa a speedy recovery. Congratulations to local rider Rosemary Adams on winning Elite Women class both days and Elite Men winner for both days Jim Brown.

5.14.10 - Some of Canada's top riders will be out at the Abbotsford track on Saturday, May 15 from 10am-5-pm putting on a training camp. Cost $75 (originally rained out in April).

5.1.10 - A lot of you have been asking about Ryan Murphy's race bike stolen from the track June 2009 so wish to share the good news that we retrieved the bike from the police auction today. Just a reminder to everyone to make note of your bike serial number and/or engrave your name on the frame, take a picture of your bike and keep a copy of the police report file number because you'll need that information to get your bike back in a situation such as this.

4.13.10 - Elite rider Cameron Murphy will be holding a BEGINNERS RIDER CLINIC on Wednesday, April 21 @ 6pm. Cost $5 per rider. Meet at track @ 5:45pm (weather permitting), no sign up required. Riders must be licensed.

4.10.10 - Thanks everyone for coming out to our triple point race tonight. It was a great night of racing. Team race results: 1st and 2nd place tie between Canadian Bike Supply (Murphy/Tougas/Brown) and Special K (Knowles/Kreuzkamp) - each team took home $40; 3rd place went to Kool Beanz (McHale Boulter/Goldstone) taking $20. Thanks to everyone for putting together a team tonight - it was a lot of fun. 4.8.10 - TRIPLE POINT RACE, Saturday April 10 @ 7pm - registration from 5:30-6:15 at the motoshed or call the hotline anytime now and pre-register. $15 race. Cap 4th rider $4. We will run team races at Saturday's race so get together 5 of your friends/family members and put together a fun team. Cost $2 for the team, make payment and pick up team signup sheet from concession. Prize payout $50 for 1st; $30 for 2nd; $20 for 3rd.

4.8.10 - Great turnout for tonight's race, thanks to all the riders that came out and everyone that volunteered tonight. Unfortunately motobuilding program crashed numerous times tonight causing delays so we thank everyone for their patience.  Congratulations to the Miller's on winning the $52.00 50/50 pot and Chloe Leberg on winning Contest #2. Contest #3 has been posted as is open to all riders, let's try to get a winner in time for Saturday's race.

4.1.10 - Thanks to everyone that came out to the race tonight. There is always a lot going on the first race of the season with new sign ups, etc. so thanks for your patience. Congrats to Spencer Cole-McGilligan on winning contest #1 and Brian Mansell on winning the $31.50 50/50 pot. Thanks to the Mitchell's for hooking us up with a replacement fridge and everyone that volunteered because it was cold out there tonight! 3.29.10 - Thanks to everyone that signed up tonight. We've decided to reschedule gate practice to Wednesday, March 31 @ 6:30pm (weather permitting) in hopes we can get some practice time on the track before Thursday's race.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

The 2009 Series is a 9 race series plus a finals event. Plates and awards will be earned from racing this  "inter-provincial" competition. In order to qualify for the plates and awards you must attend at least 5 events plus the finals. If you attend more than 5 events only your best 5 finishes will be used in the calculation of points. Of the 5 races, you must race at least 1 event outside of your home province. The final is a double points race.

10.4.09 - Huge thanks to the Action BMX Executive Team for putting on another great year end party last night. The awards started out with a BMX picture slide show courtesy of Barb Bruce. Lots of pizza, freshments and Shireen McCormick surprised us all with trays of homemade treats for dessert! Riders were awarded Action BMX race jersey's, hoodies and/or jackets along with rider certificates. Half trackers were awarded rider certificates. Riders that hadn't raced enough to qualify for the above were awarded t-shirts and rider certificates. Once again we'd like to thank Karen Hoff for creating all the year end rider certificates and donating them to the track!
