TRIPLE POINT RACE: Saturday, May 10 @ 11am NEXT GATE PRACTICE: Monday, May 12 5.8.08 - Great turnout tonight, awesome racing and we thank everyone for coming out. The 50/50 pot of $94.50 was won tonight by Trevor Brown and Trevor being the very generous man he is, donated the money to the Hemmingson family, so thank you Trevor!! It is our largest Thursday night 50/50 pot ever and we thank everyone that participated. Rider Jaremy Foyle won the ultimate treat bag in Contest #2. Contest #3 has been posted and is open to all riders who enjoy candy! Shireen McCormick donated some more homemade cookies for the track to sell, thanks Shireen! Look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday for our very special Triple Point Race!! Did you leave your baseball cap at the track on Thursday, May 1st? you can claim it at the motoshed. 5.1.08 - As Andre announced tonight we have a very special race coming up on Saturday, May 10. It is our scheduled Triple Point Race @ 11am (registration from 9:30 to 10:15) and Action BMX will be donating all of it's proceeds from that race to the Hemmingson family. As many of you know, Matt Hemmingson is an extrordinary athlete, he has numerous Canadian National and BC Cup titles under his belt and also excels in mountain biking and park riding. Matt is battling a very serious illness and we are hoping for a very strong turnout of riders in order to generate as much money as possible for the family to help them at this very difficult time. The pictures posted below show Matt with his N1 plate on the podium at two National events. 

5.1.08 - We had a great night of racing and would like to thank to all the riders for coming out and everyone that volunteered tonight. We'd like to thank Doug Friesen of Tak Logistics for donating boxes of Freezies to the concession and Shireen McCormick for baking another batch of cookies for sale at the concession. Sherri Weed won $61.50 in the 50/50 draw, congrats Sherri! Race results have been posted (thanks Phil). Abbotsford BMX is racing on Sunday, April 20 @ 3pm. 4.14.08 - We had a big turn out for gate practice tonight. Lots of new riders that look really fast!! Racing on Thursday should be great. Thanks to Shireen McCormick for making another batch of her now famous cookies for the concession! Hope everyone has enjoyed the photos alternating on the front page and had a chance to see themselves. We are going to change them up soon. 4.10.08 - We had another great night of racing, big thanks to all the riders for coming out and everyone that volunteered their time tonight. Race results have been posted. Congratulations Rebecca Olfert who won the $41.00 50/50 pot and rider Austin Taylor who won the ultimate treat bag in Contest #1. Contest #2 has been posted and is open to all riders who enjoy candy! For those of you interested in racing this weekend, Abbotsford outdoor has a race scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 3pm register by 2:30pm. 4.7.08 - The motoshed will be open RAIN or SHINE tonight to process license applications. We managed to get another gate practice in thanks to some afternoon sunshine. Thanks to everyone that came out to ride the track tonight. We are back at the track on Thursday, April 10 for racing. 4.3.08 - Great racing tonight, thanks riders for coming out and thanks to everyone that volunteered tonight! Good to see so many familiar faces and a bunch of new riders. We are at the track again this week for our first race of the season on Thursday, April 3 and look forward to a great turnout. Racing starts at 7pm with registration at the track between 5:30pm and 6:15pm or we prefer if you pre-register by calling the hotline at 604 309-6421 and leaving a message with your name, age, plate and class, anytime on Thursday before 6:15pm. 3.28.08 - The moto shed will be open RAIN or SHINE on Monday, March 31st at 6pm to process license applications. 3.22.08 - Thanks to everyone that came out to work on the track this weekend. Track looks great and we are ready for racing. Gate practice Monday, March 31st at 6:30pm (weather permitting). We will be at the track again to groom and remove rocks on Sunday, March 30 at 12-noon if you can help out (weather permitting). Who can run the concession for us this season? We need a mom, dad or grandparent to step in as Concession Director as Kirstin is not available. . 3.19.08 - We'll be working on the track this weekend, Friday and Saturday (March 21 & 22) starting at 10am and next weekend, Sunday, March 30 at 12-noon. please come out and help, weather permitting. 2.1.08 - Welcome to the 2008 Racing Season at Action BMX. Racing starts up again on Thursday, April 3 at 7pm (registration 5:30-6:15). We'll meet for gate practice Monday, March 31 at 6:30pm (both weather permitting of course). We look forward to seeing everyone again for another great season of racing. The new 2008 race schedule has been posted, check out the "Race Schedule" section for a copy. We had a wonderful season of racing last year and want to thank all the riders that came out to race, everyone that volunteered their time and our very hardworking Executive. Special mention to Ron Farmer for his tireless efforts on behalf of the track and our fabulous announcer Andre Volkow for coming out to each and every race to announce for us. We wrapped up the 2007 race season with an awards ceremony and pool party where Action BMX Jackets and Action BMX T-shirts were awarded.
