2013 License costs:

Anyone 18 years of age and over can purchase an Adult Citizen License and compete in all events across British Columbia in their 20" class and Cruiser. This includes BC Cups and BC Championship races.

The only athletes that will need to purchase a full UCI license will be Junior, Elite and athletes competing outside BC. An Adult Citizen license can be upgraded to a UCI license at anytime.

All Youth licenses (U13, U17) will remain UCI.

With these changes 98% of our membership will pay $60 or less for their membership which includes the ability to race both 20" and Cruiser.

U 13 - $43 (under 13 years of age)

U17 - $60 (under 17 years of age)

U23 - $123 (under  23 years of age)

23+ - $144

Attention Riders: Our CCA licenses are still in effect and enable us to race at the Abbotsford Indoor facility this fall/winter. Our current licenses are good through to Dec. 31. Indoor racing begins Nov. 6 until Dec. 2 and then again Jan. 22 until Feb. 24. Oct 20 – GREAT TIME AT OUR YEAR END AWARDS PARTY!!

We started the night off with an awesome BMX photo presentation prepared and presented by photographer Barb Bruce. Followed that with pizza, refreshments and Rebecca Olfert treated us to a delicious chocolate mousse cake again this year!

A lot of Action BMX swag was awarded tonight, including jersey’s, pullover hoodies, jackets, ogio gear bags and t-shirts. Once again we'd like to thank ARTRAGEOUS SCREENPRINTING for all the awards and Karen Hoff for creating all the year end rider certificates! Karen is a past executive member and volunteers her time to create the certificates for us! She does a beautiful job with the certificates every year and we really appreciate them!

All the HALF TRACKERS that attended the party were awarded special trophies again this year!

Doug Friesen of Tak Logistics was acknowledged for donating boxes of freezies to the track all season again this year! Thanks to all the volunteers that help out at the track. The following volunteers were recognized for volunteering numerous times this season: Tim & Michelle Somerville, Rebecca & Dave Olfert, George McLaughlin, Brian Mansell, Stephanie Hotchkiss, Keith & Tracy Clausen, Courtney Kirby.

Oct 13 - The 2012 Race Season at Action BMX has come to an end. It was an awesome season and we thank everyone that came out to race and everyone that volunteered their time. Windup party is Saturday, October 20, details are posted under the 'Special Events' tab.

Oct 6 - If the weather is good on Thursday we will have the gate running for an informal gate practice. Motoshed will be closed.  Come out and ride, work on the track a bit or both!

Oct 5 - We had a blast racing last night and thank everyone that came out for the fun! It was a great vibe at the track and again thank everyone for their support! Big thanks to Andre Volkow for announcing and everyone that volunteered! Adam Muys of Cycling BC and club president Dale Murphy spent 3-days re-building the pro-straight, rhythm section, new pro-rhythm and new berm gap corner. The track looks awesome and Adam played a big part and we can't thank him enough. Thanks to Dave Bruce who took a day off work to help and Jason McCormick for stopping by and helping for a few hours on Thursday, we appreciate the help! 50/50 this week was $46.00 on won by the Kirby family and the $78.50 50/50 pot last Thursday was won by the Clausen family.

Sep 27 - As announced at the track tonight, racing will continue into next week due to the awesome weather we are having! Big thanks to everyone for their support at the track tonight. ep 10 - 2012 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup is taking place at Abbotsford BMX on September 14-15. Action BMX will be selling tickets at the track again on Thursday for anyone interested in attending the World Cup. A rare opportunity to see the top riders in the world at one of our local tracks. 2-day General Admission is $25 to BMX club members and $30 to non-members.

Sep 7 - Attention Riders: Ryan's Learn2Ride clinics on Monday will start at 5pm for the month of September. Good luck to everyone racing the BC Cup Finals at Ridge Meadows BMX this weekend!!

Sep 6 - Great racing today, thanks everyone for coming out to race, Jason McCormick for announcing and all the volunteers! Congratulations Tracy Clausen on winning the $40.50 50/50 pot.

Sep 5 - Motoshed will start accepting RSVP's to the windup party on Thursday. Riders, check with motoshed (after racing starts) to see if you qualify to attend and RSVP to the windup party in October (see 'Special Events' tab for windup details).

Sep 4 - Great job Abbotsford BMX hosting the Canadian Nationals and Canada Cup Finals this weekend. The Abbotsford Executive team did an awesome job hosting the event and fun was had by all! It was great to see so many riders from across Canada come out to race. Adam Muys of Cycling BC has set the bar to world class standards with this extremely technical track that will take riders to the next level of racing! Big thanks to Abby BMX for opening the track all week, allowing ALL riders the opportunity to practice (something a lot of tracks are not willing to do prior to an event).

Coaching provided by Yess BMX factory rider Laurie Harding, one of the top female riders in the country and a fantastic supporter of the local race scene.

June 20 - Tonight's track attack race scheduled at Abbotsford BMX has been postponed.

Also, mark your calendar for Abby's Canada Day celebrations starting with a bike parade at 11am followed by racing at 3pm (registration 1:30-2:30) all happening Sunday, July 1st at Abbotsford BMX.

HOLY SMOKIN DADDY-O after a race delay the BC Cup #4 got underway at the track today.

Wet and wild, another BMX mudfest, but that didn't stop the 80+ riders from signing up and giving it their all! Gotta love BMXers, a lot of Surrey dirt went home with the kids and bikes today. All kidding aside, by the time racing got underway the track was in fairly good condition and there were no accidents due to track conditions. Tony Taylor stopped by the track for a visit and to check out racing and walked away with the $96.50 50/50 pot. Special thanks to Andre Volkow for announcing at today's cup race and everyone that took the time to volunteer...volunteers make racing happen! Lots of mom and dad cruisers racing this season which is great and a bunch of half trackers that have moved up to full track racing so congratulations to all! Thanks to all the riders and families that came out to the first race of the season, hope everyone had a good time! Thanks to everyone that volunteered their time to make racing happen! Congratulations Leanne Podavin on winning the $54.00 50/50 pot. We had our 1st fast and furious on flats clinic this week and want to thank Scott Hill and Ryan Murphy for coaching! They are coming out on their own time and running these clinics for free, so props to them! I hear Ryan thoroughly enjoyed the rice crispy squares one of the families brought though!
