We greatly encourage members to renew their licenses through CCN registration with the new streamlined renewal process.  This will help to get you your license as soon as possible.

2012 License Prices:

under 13 yrs of age $41; under 17 yrs of age $57;

under 23 yrs of age $118; 23 yrs old and older $138.

Annual half track license $36.00 (for young ones 5 and under)

Group Rates: Family - 2 parents & 1 child $266.00

Family - 1 parent & 1 child $164.00

NEW FOR 2012:

Anyone over the age of 18 can purchase an adult citizen license instead of a full UCI license.  The Citizen license is good for district racing only at your local club and Indoor.  If an adult citizen license holder wishes to race at another club, they can just pay a $10 one-event fee.  Adults looking to race higher level sanctioned events or race more frequently at several clubs will need to purchase the full UCI license.

11.5.11 - What a year we have had! Lucky to have a Supercross hill built here in BC, one of only 10 in the world and now with indoor racing starting in a few weeks, it doesn't get any better than this!! We have the Olympics to look forward to next year, the Canadian Nationals taking place in BC and Adam Muys of Cycling BC has got some big races planned for 2012. It's going to be BMX crazy next year! To support the Canadian National Team and developing programs make sure you renew your Cycling BC license for 2012. Thank you and see you at the track!

10.15.11 - YEAR END AWARDS!! Huge thanks to the Action BMX Executive Team for putting on another great year end party! Barb Bruce put together an awesome BMX slide show and Claudia Knos put together a  video presentation for us all to enjoy . . . big thanks to both for sharing their work with us again this year! Lots of pizza and refreshments for everyone and Rebecca Olfert treated us to a chocolate mousse cake for dessert! Marcie McMurray created an amazing BMX cake! Hope everyone got a chance to see it . . .  it's our starting hill and first table top . . . awesome!

Riders were awarded Action BMX race jersey's, hoodies, jackets, ogio gear bags or ogio backpacks . . . lots of choices for our riders this year along with rider certificates. Half trackers were awarded rider certificates. Riders that hadn't raced enough to qualify for the above were awarded tees and rider certificates.

Doug Friesen of Tak Logistics was acknowledged for donating boxes of freezies to the track all season again this year! Thanks to all the volunteers that help out at the track. The following volunteers were recognized for volunteering numerous times this season: Mary McMurray, Rebecca Olfert, Laura Cole, Dan Rodrigues, Tim Somerville, George McLaughlin, Stephanie Hotchkiss, Chris Moro, Brian Mansell.

10.1.11 - Madison Moro is the winner of Contest #17. We'll get Madison "the goods" at the windup party. Thanks to all the families that participated in the contests this season. 9.30.11 - Trophy Master(s) have stepped up to the plate. Big thanks to Sandra Bailey and Yvonne Peters for jointly taking on the role.

9.29.11 - Awesome night of racing at our last race of the 2011 season. Thanks to all the riders and families for coming out tonight in support of our elections and AGM.  Andre for his fantastic announcing and doing such a great job running the elections.  The 2012 Executive has been voted in. Stepping down were, Promotions Director, Ron Farmer and Track Director, Josh Vanderzwan. Ron has been on Action's Executive for many years, first as Vice President and most recently Promotions and Community Liason. Ron is extremely hard working and his contributions to the club are many.  He really knows how to groom a track and would work on the corners for hours before they were paved. Before Josh came on last year, it was Ron that mowed the lawn for hours, year after year. Ron contributed greatly to the operation of the track and we can't thank him enough for his contribution over the years. Josh Vanderzwan only put in a year but packed in enough work for a few. He seeded the entire area in back of the first and third berms, mowed the lawn twice a week (a 2-hr job), cleaned up under the towers, edged the walkways, etc. etc. He created a park like setting for all of us at Action BMX . . . too bad he didn't stay on another year, we'd have trees planted and picnic tables installed! He did a wonderful job and we hope he'll find some time to visit next season and maybe cut the grass for us from time to time lol! New to the executive is Dan Rodrigues as Track Director. He is another hard worker, often seen grooming the track on his own time and does a darn good job filling in for Andre as announcer. We still need someone to step in as Promotions Director and we need a Trophy Master if anyone is available. Congratulations Ron Farmer on winning the $62.00 50-50 pot. It's been a few years since Ron won 50/50 and it's great that he won today of all days! See everyone at the year end party on October 15. 9.24.11 - We had a die hard group of about 30 riders out for our Thursday night race. A little too much rain during the day for everyone else?! A small turnout but we managed to put together a large 50/50 pot. Congratulations to Courtney Kirby on winning $42.50. Thanks to everyone that volunteered and Tony Taylor for announcing! 9.18.11 - BC CUP RACING WEEKEND! We've had an exciting weekend of racing starting with our regular district point race on Thursday, double point race on Friday, BC Cup #8 on Saturday and the BC Cup Finals today. Big thanks to everyone that came out to race and everyone that volunteered their time this weekend, especially our Announcer, Andre Volkow, who was out all 4-days announcing the races. Andre really sets the tone for our races and does an amazing job! It was a great weekend of racing, congratulations to all the riders that participated! The cup trophies were really nice this year! We have a very hardworking Executive and there is a lot of hard work and time spent preparing for these races, long before the 1st gate drops, and we appreciate everyone's time and effort! We'd also like to thank the guys that ran the BBQ this weekend, Bailey McHale-Boulter on Saturday and Dave Olfert on Sunday! We had lots of rider draws of Action t-shirts and waterbottles and Yess donated a couple of items to give away! 7.15.11 - BC CHAMPIONSHIP RACE taking place this weekend at Ridge Meadows BMX. Saturday, July 16 racing starts at 11am (registration 8:30-9:30). The BC Championship race is a 1-day event to decide the BC Champion for each age group, there is no ability level racing. Each entry will receive a cool BC Championship T-shirt. All athletes making the final will receive a BC Championship plate (BC 1 to 8). BC CUP #5 takes place at Ridge on Sunday, racing gets underway at 10am with registration from 8-8:30. 6.26.11 - TRACK NEEDS YOUR HELP AT GATE PRACTICE TOMORROW. We have a bunch of dirt that we need groomed so if you are coming out to Monday's gate practice please bring along a rake if you can. It's a big job for 1-2 people so if we could get at least 10+ people with rakes to help out tomorrow it would be an easy job to complete. Also, we have used all the clay based fill that we had at the track so the TRACK NEEDS CLAY BASED DIRT (5 dump truck loads) in order to complete the starting hill, then we can blacktop.

6.17.11 - The 2011 Canadian Nationals are taking place August 5-7 Quebec City, Quebec. The event is open to all Canadians riders. The only request is that it is MANDATORY to have a full CCA/UCI race license to participate. No day permit will be issued. Link to Newsletter #3.

5.26.11 - We lucked out and got another race in. The weather has not been good but the rain held off and we managed to have another great night of racing. Thanks to all the riders that came out and everyone that volunteered! Breaking news . . . apparently the 50/50 is not crooked . . . we had the track CGA verify the winning ticket very carefully and the winner of the $62.00 pot was none other than our fabulous Announcer Andre Volkow! Contest #3 is now closed, congratulations to the Somerville boys on winning. Contest #4 and race results have been posted.

5.12.11 - We had a great night of racing, about 90 riders came out which made for exciting racing. Thanks to all the riders for coming out to race and it's great to see so many half trackers, they are a great way to start off racing each night! Practices and racing have been hit and miss so far this season and we definitely lucked out with the weather for tonight's race. Contest #2 is closed, congratulations to the Fairleys on winning. Contest #3 has been posted and is open to all riders. Congratulations to the Somerville Family on winning the $72.00 50/50 pot. Race results will be posted ASAP.  Thanks to everyone that volunteered and Andre Volkow for his awesome announcing, racing wouldn't happen without them!

5.6.11 - Mark your calendars that we will be holding a Rider's Clinic on Saturday, May 28 during the day (weather permitting). Details to follow.

5.6.11 - We had a good turnout for our Thursday night race but it started to rain  just in time for racing so we had to call the race. Luckily the half trackers managed to run their races!  We put together a 50/50 pot, congratulations to John Peters on winning $32.50.

We have rescheduled our double point race from May 21 to May 28, please make note on your race schedule. We will not be racing on May 21 as that is the May long weekend.

4.30.11 - We held our triple point race tonight. Riders earned triple points and had their choice of a photo frame clock or projector clock. Thanks to all the riders that came out to race and everyone that volunteered their time! Urban Menace Bikes & Boards in Coquitlam came out and kindly donated handle bars and a bike seat as rider draws at tonight's race, so a big thanks to them for the prizes! Lucky winner of the WTP handle bars: Finn Iles and the winner of the bike seat: Chloe Leberg! We'd also like to thank Fraser Valley Septic for their continued support of the club and for always looking after us, sometimes on very little notice!  50-50 was won tonight by Merv Miller who took home the $49 pot. Contest #2 is still open. Big thanks to our Announcer Andre Volkow and Dan Rodrigues for filling in as Announcer the other night. Shout out to Andy MacDonald of Ridge Meadows BMX for sharing his MotoBuilder program with us tonight - FYI, Ridge is holding their triple point race on Saturday, May 7th @ 7pm.

4.21.11 - Another great turnout for racing tonight. It was cold but a beautiful night for racing. Thanks to all the riders that came out to race. The 8 Novice Male class and the 40-44 Male Cruiser were particularly exciting motos to watch. Congratulations Rebecca/Lindsay on winning the $50.50 50/50 pot and Kain Smaill on winning Contest #1. 4.8.11 - Reminder that we have a Triple Point race taking place at the track on Saturday, April 30 @ 7pm and we'd like to confirm that the BC Cup #7 scheduled for Sunday, August 14 will be held at Action BMX. Also, there will be a BMX 'C' level Commissaire course on Saturday, April 30 from 1 - 5 pm at the Cycling BC office in Vancouver. 4.7.11 - Awesome turnout for the first race of the season and it was a beautiful night for racing! Thanks everyone for coming out to race and everyone that volunteered tonight! Thanks so much for your patience! The first race is always busy with license sales, etc. but we also experienced a computer glitch that put us behind schedule. Riders got to try out the new quiet safety gate! We still have blacktop work to do when things dry out. We acknowledge the financial assistance of the Province of British Columbia, the City of Surrey and the North Delta Rotary Club and thank them for their support! Congratulations Marcie McMurray on winning the $43.00 50/50 pot. Motoshed will be open rain or shine on Monday, April 11 starting at 6:30pm to sign up riders (sell licenses). Gate practice will only happen weather permitting. Race results will be posted as soon as they are available.

3.27.11 - MOTOSHED WILL BE OPEN RAIN OR SHINE ON MONDAY, APRIL 4 STARTING @ 6:30PM TO SIGN UP RIDERS (gate practice will only happen weather permitting). 2011 license fees have been set as follows: under 13 $41; under 17 $57; under 23 $118; over 23 $138. Half track license $34 (ages 5 & under). Family packs: 2 parents & 1 child $266 or 1 parent & 1 child $164. Race fees remain $5 per regular Thursday night race and half trackers still race for free! Keep in mind that you can buy a $100 season's pass at the motoshed that will cover your Thursday night race fees for the season (April 7 thru to September 29). Note season's pass does not cover triples/doubles/provincials.
